BHSS CHAIR
To oversee the initiatives of the executive members, lead BHSS meetings throughout the year, and act as a liaison between the BHSS and other organizations at McMaster (including the MSU and BHSc office).
FINANCIAL COORDINATOR
It is the responsibility of the financial coordinator to manage all the financial transactions within BHSS. This includes keeping record of reimbursements given to faculty members, grants provided to clubs, etc. The financial coordinator will also be in charge of processing all financial requests submitted to the BHSS; if a club would like to receive money for a certain initiative, they may submit a financial request to the coordinator for approval by BHSS.
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
To facilitate the success of the LearnLink platform for BHSc; to assure that all BHSc students are well-connected to each other, the professors, their courses, and to the BHSc Office.
ACADEMIC COORDINATOR
To ensure that BHSc students get the help they need in order to enhance their academic experience within the program and faculty at large. The academic coordinator will represent BHSc on the Academic Affairs Council of the MSU, comprised of the VP Academics for all faculties. BHSS Academic is run entirely by volunteer upper year Health Scis.
INTERNAL COORDINATOR
To develop and foster a supportive and exciting community within BHSc. This includes creation and maintenance of the Buddy Community, identifying and making use of on-campus resources for BHSc students, as well as hosting events such as Food Crawl, BHSc Intramurals, and on-campus information sessions. All these events are designed to promote inter and intra-year relationships, provide adequate support to all students in BHSc, and to enhance student life outside the academic scene.
EXTERNAL COORDINATOR
To promote and coordinate charitable opportunities for BHSc students, such as food and clothing drives; to connect BHSc students with students from other faculties through inter-faculty events, like the TriSci tournament
WELCOME WEEK COORDINATORS
To facilitate a smooth and easy transition into university for the incoming first years. The welcome week coordinators will work with campus partners and coordinate the Pathogen team to plan everything Welcome Week-related.
SOCIAL COORDINATORS
The social coordinators plan all the exciting social events for the program, including (but not limited to) Health Sci Formal, Faculty Night, and BHScary.
YEAR REPRESENTATIVES
Year reps act as liaisons between their classes and the BHSS. They are also responsible for organizing fun events to bring their respective years together.
